NICKY + MICKI WAS FOUNDED ON THE PRINCIPLE OF PRETTEND WHICH CAME MANIFEST IN PARALLEL WORLDS THAT ONE STEPPED IN TO AND OUT OF WITH EASE

The origins of the images are not conceived as much as they are channeled from other realms and ephemeral realities. The work is created as a river might flow with currents that are not controlled and cannot be stopped and the images form continuously as a surprise, the way one might have an experience when opening a bounty of unexpected gifts. There is an obsessive need to allow whatever appears to keep on happening.

As the story goes, communications occurred by traversing multiple worlds within worlds and navigating and straddling these realities which led to the discovery that the images come from the “other side” as profound messages with meaning, sarcasm and some a throw back to other eras. The metaphysical becomes the physical it is linked to imagination and fantasy and the future. It is tangible and yet fluid with no boundaries and always welcoming to what comes forth.

Born in New York and growing up as children of the 60’s there seemed to be greater access to etheric worlds,. Before a tragic loss of the beloved, Nicky + Micki had not created any images at all, though creative impulses existed and were satisfied in design and the food industry years prior. With this unfathomable life al- tering event, the flood gates opened and a new dimension which had never been previously known became the life line of coming back to the beauty of life though with a different perspective which allowed for N + M to live in the world most connected to the other side.

“The Space Between Us” a seminal piece was channeled during this time and remains one of the strongest to date. N + M is just emerging from a netherworld and these images that are chan- neled through have become the way in which the light will return. Her work is in private collections throughout the US.
