Her provocative work is influenced by the excessive, materialistic cultures of Wall Street and New York City and it’s as empathetic and vulnerable as it is unapologetically clever.
Using a combination of printmaking, paint and mixed media Simmons loves a double-entendre, so make sure to look closely to experience her bold images that translate into ‘wearable art’ at its finest.
With a dual bachelor’s degree in Art History and Visual Arts, Kristin Simmons is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Orra White Hitchcock award, and the National Endowment of the Arts Award. With numerous group exhibitions as well as two solo shows so far, we’re truly excited to follow along on her artistic career.
